Homedharmadude unplugged® -- from the heart of a contemplative monkOct 28, 2007
As human beings, we all share the desire for happiness and meaning in our lives. According to my spiritual father, His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama, the ability to find true happiness resides within each of us. My beloved spiritual brother, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, writes "What you can and cannot do is your own convention... All practices of dharma are to lead us to the subtle mind."

And how do we get there? Through listening and contemplation, the collection of vast merits and through our constant and focused effort.

I invite you to journey with me... to peruse the reflections in the Dharma Talks, Ask the Monk®, Progressive Voices® or HeartThoughts® sections, below... to engage me and others on the path in sincere dialogue... so that together, we may overcome everyday obstacles, learn to open our hearts, maintain mental tranquility and develop the eternal qualities of the subtle mind for the good of all sentient beings.

Happy house warming! The shore will wait. Hell, the Atlantic shore has waited eight years for me... and is still waiting. I do so miss fresh sea food and the moon on the ocean.

Didn't head to the shore this weekend. There was tooooo much work to be done on the new apartment, to get it ready for us to move in on Tuesday. (Well, that and the fact we didn't even have the gas money to drive that far...)

Will likely get down there in a few weeks.
